Celtic or Irish dancing is an integral part of Irish culture, stemming from traditional folk dances and religious celebrations. Celtic dance was made popular in recent years from modern shows like Riverdance and Lord of the Dance.
Traditional forms of Celtic dance have inspired what is currently taught in classes, and can vary in style.
Our classes teach dancers a strong foundation in a fun but structured environment, while staying true to the cultural roots of the dance.
Routines usually involve a formal and controlled style with limited upper body movement. Dancers are trained to move their legs and feet in swift, precise movements similar to some traditional tap dances.
Students are encouraged to grow as performers and individuals while gaining a sense of accomplishment with every completed class.
